Unwanted cooking oil fuels our buses!

posted on 06/06/2012

Merseycare Transport has secured a grant from the National Lottery and used the money to buy a new machine which can convert vegetable cooking oil into bio-diesel fuel which burns far more efficiently - and is much cleaner than the traditional petro-chemical diesel.

The great news is that you can contribute your waste oil directly from the chip pan to our charity! Cleanliness is not an issue as the machine cleans the oil before converting it. The Merseycare team can even collect the oil direct from your home or business place (2 litre minimum).

So to make a change to your carbon footprint and help the environment at the same time, ring to arrange a collection by calling 0151 678 8467, or email dave.rimmer@merseycaretransport.co.uk.
